A group of Marysville men received an invitation in January 1923 to form club No. 1438 of Rotary International.  The charter presentation night followed on May 25 in the dining room of the Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Charter members were:  Geo. T. Mohrbacher, Herman Ackerman, A. B. Campbell, J. R. Wasser, C. E. Hedrix, L. R. Brodrick, A. B. Billingsley, C. O. Smith, E. C. Webber, O. C. Pusch, Fred E. Brooks, G. M. Ware, C. V. Langlitz, A. R. Zimmer, H. A. Hohn, E. B. Hinshaw and J. E. Riley.

Mohrbacher was first president.  William S. Eddy served as the first and only district governor from this club.  Norman Nork has been a member of our club since 1949.  We have eleven members who have been in our club more than 25 years.  Mary Weickert was the first female member and in 2002, Ronda Wassenberg became the first female president.

To celebrate and honor Rotary’s 100 years, our club funded the remodeling of two hospital rooms at CMH.  The rooms are decorated in a child-friendly theme.

The Marysville Rotary Club has made grants to teachers for school supplies.

In 2005 the Club began the Service Above Self Scholarship and grants two $1,000 scholarships to local high school students.

Since 1981, the Marysville Rotary Club has been the lead sponsor of Toys for Tots.
